Effective Pedagogy Workshop
The Effective Pedagogy Workshop is a program designed to familiarize faculty with teaching strategies they can use to improve the overall quality of their lectures. The program offers a variety of teaching methods on diverse topics and consists of lectures, discussions, and practice-based sessions.
※ This workshop has been recognized as basic training for the “Enhancement of Teaching Competency” since 2017.

Teaching Consulting for New Faculty
The Teaching Consulting for New Faculty program, which became mandatory for new faculty appointed anytime after 2022, provides new faculty members an opportunity to reflect on their teaching methods. Through one-on-one consultations with teaching experts, faculty can assess their teaching strategies and evaluate their educational effectiveness.

Type 1 Mid-semester Consulting
Type 2 Course Preparation Consulting
Implementation
Mid-semester Consulting: Submit application → Record class video + conduct student survey → Meet with consultant → Give feedback on consultation + consultation feedback (post-consultation survey by instructor) → Certificate of completion issued
Course Preparation Consulting: Submit application and materials in advance → Meet with consultant → Submit revised materials and review (by instructor and consultant) → Give feedback on consultation + consultation feedback (post-consultation survey by instructor) → Certificate of completion issued → Analyze student surveys (optional)

Lecture Recording and Consulting
The Lecture Recording and Consulting program provides faculty with an opportunity to observe and reflect on their own teaching practices through recorded sessions of their classes. By reviewing these recordings, instructors can gain insight into how they conduct their classes and gain ideas to improve their teaching.
