베리타스 실천: 현대사회와 적정기술

Veritas Practice: Modern Society and Appropriate Technology

적정기술은 주로 저개발 국가의 소외된 사람들을 위해 현지 중심의 기술로 인간다운 삶을 제공하고자 기여하고 있다. 과학 및 의료기술의 발달에 따라 파급효과를 증대시킨 적정기술은 범위가 확장되고 있다. 발달된 현대사회에서도 소외된 자들의 필요 영역인 안전, 이동성, 에너지, 주거, 노약자 등의 주제에 대해 직접 탐색해 보고 심화토의를 통해 보다 나은 삶을 위한 아이디어를 제안하는 교육활동으로 구성된다. 학생들이 사회에 기여할 수 있도록 지속 가능한 발전과 현지 자원 및 활용 가능한 현대사회의 기술 수준을 고려하여 사회적, 경제적, 환경적 이익을 모든 사람에게 제공하는 프로젝트 기반 학습을 목적으로 한다.
