Veritas Lecture 1: Meaning

인공지능 시스템이 급격하게 보급됨에 따라 현대 사회는 인간다움이 무엇인가에 대한 답을 그 어느 시대보다 절실하게 요구하고 있다. 그리고 인간의 “의미”에 대한 탐구는 인간다움을 정의하는 데에 있어 대체불가능한 요소이다.
본 강의의 목적은 단순히 오늘날 세상을 형성해 온 가장 영향력 있는 과학, 문학, 철학적 텍스트를 수동적으로 이해하고 암기하는 데에 있지 않고, (i) 이러한 텍스트들에서 제시된 아이디어가 어떻게 반박되거나 수정/대체되었는지, (ii) 의미에 대한 지배적인 서사가 변화하는 과정이 현재 우리가 살고 있는 사회와 문화에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는지에 대해 비판적으로 사고하고 능동적으로 생각할 수 있는 지적 역량을 갖추는데 주안점을 둔다.
